Gundam · far-future estimates and contradictory chronologies

A cited, explicitly hypothetical chronology of UC, alternate UC, Turn A and Reconguista. Contains story spoilers. Return to the connected-histories comparison for the broader framework.

What the numbers mean

The unit is model years, not UC, AD or a newly discovered canonical calendar. Original and alternate UC use their native year numbers. Turn A’s CC 2345 is illustrated at 10,000; CC 2343 is at 9,998. The round anchor uses the TV story’s roughly ten-millennia ancient-history scale, attributed to episode 44 in the reference survey. It is an approximate illustration, not a proven offset. Other accounts differ, including the film’s shorter scale. The official Bandai release supports the encompassing history but supplies no numerical conversion.

Two incompatible Reconguista placements

Published guidebook order: UC → RC → CC. G-Reco Official Guidebook (Gakken, September 2015, p.153; ISBN 9784054063075), as documented in the reference survey. The dashed RC band marks only an admissible region between the selected UC and CC markers. Its bounds are editorial drawing limits, not sourced dates or confidence limits. Sunrise confirms RC follows UC without identifying a conversion.

Tomino’s reported 2015 order: UC → CC → RC. His 27 August 2015 talk placed G-Reco about 500 years after Turn A (contemporaneous report; source survey). Adding that approximate gap to the illustrative Turn A anchor gives 10,500. This preserves his alternative interpretation; it does not claim an uncontested franchise-wide retcon.

Separate by published guidebook order or tomino order to inspect the alternatives. Dashed outlines mark every cross-era estimate. Arcs express succession or alternative ordering; native-year event titles and attached sources remain available.

AGE is now in the broader connected comparison under its explicitly cited Dark History inclusion; no unsupported numerical position is assigned to AG here. The focused UC fork remains on native UC years.

UC · selected story window

–

  • universal century (uc)

The selected original Universal Century window runs from Amuro Ray’s UC 0079 involvement in the One Year War to Üso Ewin’s UC 0153 struggle against Zanscare. Between those anchors are distinct conflicts involving Zeon remnants, the Titans, Neo Zeon, Mafty and the Crossbone Vanguard. The 74 native years provide a reading span, not one uninterrupted war. The axis may show native years or explicitly identified comparison coordinates, depending on the view. Read the events’ native dates and the retained estimate notes before interpreting distances between different calendars. No new end date or cross-calendar equivalence is introduced by this description. Span between the first and last selected story-year markers. It is a viewing aid, not a claim that one war or production ran continuously throughout. **Sources:** [Reference 1](https://en.gundam-official.com/series/mobile-suit-gundam), [Reference 2](https://en.gundam-official.com/series/0083), [Reference 3](https://en.gundam-official.com/series/z), [Reference 4](https://en.gundam-official.com/series/zz), [Reference 5](https://en.gundam-official.com/series/chars-counterattack), [Reference 6](https://en.gundam-official.com/series/narrative), [Reference 7](https://en.gundam-official.com/series/hathaway-i), [Reference 8](https://en.gundam-official.com/series/f91), [Reference 9](https://en.gundam-official.com/series/v).

Year-level bounds taken from the selected markers; not the lifetime of the universe.
Coordinate convention
Native UC year; the common coordinate of the original and alternate UC histories.
