Issue #4 · Time Scale

  • 2020 editor
  • issue

There should be a clear method for choosing between linear and logarithmic timescales - the later being nicer for something like "Earth's history". Likewise, traversing "into the past" may be of use. Furthermore, stored data uses JavaScript Numbers as their index - i.e. IEEE754 - there are clear bounds for this data type, and shouldn't be superseded by some custom type. When designing a timeline, units will be necessary - i.e. "current era year" vs. "millions of years ago" vs. "unix epoch time". *Archived by the Wayback Machine on 15 September 2020; the repository has since been deleted from GitHub.*
