Issue #6 · Incremental ArrayBuffer parsing

  • 2020 editor
  • issue

Taking a file and loading it into an ArrayBuffer is one thing, but parsing the binary is another. The purescript-arraybuffer-class library grants facilities for turning this ArrayBuffer into tangible data, but we need something more flexible - something where, upon successful parsing of some datum (like a complete entity to be stored in IndexedDB), we perform some action (storing the entity, and getting rid of it in-memory), then continue parsing, but without any dangling references of variables in the scope of the action, so all memory can be garbage collected. This may involve the Streams API, but may not just as well. #1 #3 *Archived by the Wayback Machine on 15 September 2020; the repository has since been deleted from GitHub.*
