#356 · Separation bar describes relationship separations, not tags

  • timeline-app
  • pull request

Closes #342 **Cause.** `startSeparation` (`src/app.ts`) set the bar's heading for relationship separations but never touched `#separation-note`, which keeps its tag wording from `src/index.html` ("Events with any of these tags are shown above…"). **Fix.** The heading and note now describe the separation made, with the entity's title in the existing subject span: - Separate related: **Separated: related to** Alpha — "Read-only. Shown above: Alpha and the events related to it; everything else stays below." - Separate all connected: **Separated: connected to** Alpha — "Read-only. Shown above: Alpha and everything connected to it through relationships; everything else stays below." - Separate by tags sets the tag heading and note again. The note is phrased "Shown above: …" so it reads right for untitled entities too ("this moment"). Every path (editor details, the reader, restoring a saved separation) goes through `startSeparation`, so all get the wording. `docs/relationships.md` mentions the bar. **Tests.** `test/relationships-browser.mjs` checks the heading, subject and note after Separate all connected and Separate related, then that separating by tags returns to the tag wording. `npm test`, `npm run typecheck`, prettier and the chromium browser suite pass.
