#419 · The comparison's alignment folds away, leaving the timelines the room

- pull request
In a comparison of eight timelines, the settings above the tracks took about 700 of 1080 pixels. Each timeline had a full-width Scale and Offset row, the labels sat above their fields, and there were two hints, so the timelines were left a sliver. ## Changes - **Collapsed alignment:** the per-timeline rows sit under **Align timelines (N)**, which starts closed when a comparison starts. Closed, the panel is the heading line plus that one line. - **One line per timeline when open:** - the title is cut to fit, and the whole title shows on hover; - Scale and Offset sit beside their labels, sized to their values; - with many timelines the rows scroll within the panel, at most `min(40vh, 320px)`. - **Smaller fixes:** - the "Combine into one timeline" checkbox sits beside its label instead of above it; - the formula hint and the offset units share one line inside the section; - "Source plugins are combined once per plugin ID." no longer shows; the note appears only when the sources' plugins actually conflict. - `docs/guide.md` and `docs/comparison.md` describe **Align timelines**. ## Tests - `test/comparison-browser.mjs` now checks that alignment starts closed with its count, that the plugin note is hidden without conflicts, and that each row is one line once it's open. The rest of the alignment flow runs as before. - The editor browser tests and the unit tests pass locally. - I checked a screenshot of the open panel.
