#55 · Create nothing on click, and offer Edit in timeline menus

  • timeline-app
  • pull request

Fixes #43. Fixes #46. - **#43:** a click or tap on empty timeline space now only selects a time: the yellow cursor, which follows that coordinate. It no longer opens a new moment. **+Event** (the toolbar button, or the item in the timeline actions menu) adds a moment at the selected time. - **#46:** when the timeline is editable: - a moment's right-click (or 550 ms hold) menu offers **Edit**, which opens the moment's details. On a stack entry, Edit scrolls to that entry. - duration bands, and markers standing for a single collapsed duration, get their own menu with **Edit** (opens the duration dialog) and **Delete** (the usual confirmation, undoable). The delete flow is now `requestDurationDelete()`, shared with the dialog's button. - Read-only timelines don't show Edit or Delete. Comparison bands are read-only, so they never do. - The README describes the new click behaviour and the menu items. ## Tests - **`selection-browser.mjs`:** - a click shows the time cursor and no dialog, and **+Event** then opens a moment at exactly that time; - a moment's menu is `+Event, Fit all, Edit, Delete`, and Edit opens that moment. - **`summaries-browser.mjs`:** a duration band's menu is `+Event, Fit all, Edit, Delete`, and Edit opens the duration. - `browser.mjs` and `offline-browser.mjs` pass locally in Chromium and Firefox. Unit tests and the typecheck pass.
