Timeline controls

New here? The tour shows the main controls one at a time.

Spider-Man appearing at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con International, photographed by Gage Skidmore.

One consolidated, editable chronology of events inside Spider-Man’s stories: origins, transformations, deaths, altered histories and crossings between worlds. Contains major spoilers. Comics, films, television and games are distinguished by continuity tags.

Calendar and certainty

The axis remains Gregorian. Dated markers refer to fictional events, never product releases. A year or month is plotted at its first day solely as a precision anchor. ESTIMATE titles and dashed outlines identify reconstructed dates. Every marker explains its source and assumptions. Destination-world dates on crossovers do not synchronise the visitors’ home calendars.

UNDATED indexes at 1900 are a catalogue shelf, not history in 1900. Open their numbered context cards to read events whose Gregorian dates cannot be established. This preserves their actual story sequence without assigning publication years or inventing elapsed intervals. Separate them with the undated story sequence tag. Year numbers inside TV-version tags identify adaptations, not their in-story dates.

How to compare worlds

Use Separate by tags to inspect a continuity, then Rejoin to restore the whole view. Shared crossover moments carry their participant tags. Arrows follow selected in-story sequence; unarrowed arcs compare alternate premises. Similar origins do not prove a documented common branching date.

  • MCU Peter disappears in 2018, returns in 2023, and faces Mysterio and the No Way Home crisis in 2024. The corrected MCU chronology is distinct from its release schedule. The Homecoming “eight years later” title conflicts with the corrected official chronology; the 2016 story placement is used here.
  • Miguel’s original Alchemax transformation belongs to 2099. Comics Noir’s origin belongs to 1933. Their earlier product-release years no longer appear as event coordinates.
  • Raimi, Webb, animated-film and game calendars are labelled reconstructed where only relative intervals or disputed calendar clues are available. Sources establish the story events separately from the confidence of their dates.
  • Main Marvel comics use a sliding chronology. Peter’s bite, Gwen’s death, his marriage, the Mephisto bargain and Secret Wars remain ordered undated story events, not historical happenings in 1962, 1973, 1987, 2007 or 2015.
  • Original Ultimate Earth-1610, new Ultimate Earth-6160, comics Gwen, MC2 and Renew Your Vows retain their distinct premises. A new book title is not a fictional occurrence or evidence that these worlds share the same clock.
  • The animated films’ Miles, Gwen, Peter B. and Miguel are distinct from similarly named comics versions. Miguel’s canon-event explanation is recorded as his theory, not a universal law imposed on every continuity.

Sources and scope

Sony’s official story synopses, Marvel character/issue references, Disney’s episode descriptions, Amazon’s Spider-Noir synopsis and PlayStation’s story guide support the events. The Marvel Studios/DK official timeline is the MCU calendar reference, with a linked secondary transcription. Fan chronologies and reported creator statements used for estimates are explicitly identified in each dating note. Episode and issue identifiers are source references, not release events. Selected coverage, not every issue or episode.

All old publication-sequence relationships and release-window bands have been replaced. The cover, continuity tags and visual plugin suite are retained. This timeline is a story chronology; the former publication document is preserved in its saved history and in the local backup.

Moment details

Separate by tags

Events with any chosen tag move into a track above the rest of the timeline. Nothing is changed or saved.

Shift or scale times

Each time becomes (time − around) × scale + around + offset, exactly, as comparisons align timelines. A duration’s start or end that follows a moment moves with that moment.

Your draft becomes a pull request. The upstream timeline stays unchanged until someone with write access merges it.

        Timeline plugins

        Plugin suites

A suite adds several plugins at once. Plugins this timeline already has stay as they are.

        Create a suite

Package this timeline's plugins to add them to other timelines at once. The suite carries each plugin's definition, custom plugins included.

        Plugins

        Plugin editor

Define metadata fields and a restricted render script. No DOM, network, imports, loops or arbitrary calls. Later plugins override earlier effects. Installing takes effect immediately; publishing makes this version public in the server library.

        Plugin library

Popularity counts public timelines with the plugin enabled.

        Compare timelines

Select two to eight timelines visible to your account, or add a JSON file.

        Choose a shared time display

These timelines use different printers or parsers. Choose the display for this comparison. Original times stay unchanged; use scale and offset to align different coordinate conventions.

        Timeline time display

These settings belong to this timeline and are included in saved files and server copies. Times stay exact.

Numeric labels are rounded. SI prefixes work best with unit symbols such as s. A Julian year is exactly 365.25 days.

Displayed value = (stored time − origin) / scale. For Gregorian display, the displayed unit is one second from 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z.

Preview uses the current window span and viewport width. Custom helpers: hasView(), viewLeft(), viewRight(), viewSpan(), viewWidth(), unitsPerPixel(), labelResolution(), purpose(). Existing printers and parsers can ignore this context.

        Servers

The official server is https://timescale.info. You can connect to your own HTTPS servers too, and sign in to several at once: your timelines from each are listed together. Local .och files work without a connection.
